# CRM integration

> Send project opportunities to your CRM instead of retyping them.

Connect BuildVision to your CRM and push a project's opportunity, along with the
accounts and contacts it needs, straight into your system of record. No retyping.

<Note>
  Setting up a CRM connection is an organization admin task. You'll find it in
  **CRM Hub**. If you don't see CRM Hub in your navigation, contact
  [support@buildvision.io](mailto:support@buildvision.io).
</Note>

## Choose how BuildVision connects

There are two ways to connect, and the choice is not just a technical detail. It
changes who your CRM records as the author of every record BuildVision creates,
and how long the connection lasts.

|                                  | Company-wide                                                     | Connect my own account                                         |
| -------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Who the CRM shows as creator** | BuildVision | You |
| **Setup** | One-time setup by your Microsoft administrator, about 10 minutes | Sign in to Dynamics, works right away |
| **Lasts** | Does not depend on any one person staying | Stops working if your account changes |
| **Best for** | Any team that wants a durable connection and clean attribution | Trying the integration, or a single rep pushing their own work |

**We recommend Company-wide.** It's the default when you set up a connection.
Because BuildVision authenticates as itself rather than as an employee, the
connection survives people leaving or changing their password, and "was this
entered by BuildVision or by a rep?" stays answerable in your CRM.

Pick "Connect my own account" when you want to see the integration work today
and your administrator isn't available yet. You can switch later.

<Tip>
  The two aren't mutually exclusive across a company. The connection method is
  stored per organization, so a rep pushing their own work and BuildVision
  writing company-wide are different setups, not competing ones.
</Tip>

## What BuildVision writes

Pushing a project creates an opportunity, and the account and contact records it
needs to attach to. Every push is an explicit action that someone takes.
BuildVision does not sync your pipeline on a schedule.
